Dear QEHS Parents and Guardians,

Please join me in congratulating our grade 9 and high school concert bands that participated in the Alberta International Band Festival last week.  Both bands represented QEHS exceptionally well with the grade 9 band earning a gold medal!

Next week students will be completing the Alberta Education and Childcare Assurance (AECA) survey (grades 7 and 10) and the CBE Survey (grade 8, 9, 11 and 12).  The surveys allow students to voice their feedback on their experiences in school, the school environment and school improvement.  Based on feedback, students have the opportunity to be involved in action plans fostering increased student engagement.

Parents also received random access codes from Alberta Education and Childcare to participate in the AECA survey.  I have received an update from Alberta Education and Childcare that only 10% of parents/guardians have completed the survey so far.  I would greatly appreciate your time and support with increasing parent/guardian voice in our school improvement.  Please consider completing the survey if you have not done so already.

There are several important updates in this week’s Knights’ Notes.  Please read below.

With gratitude,

Jennifer Edmondson-Neily
Principal

Grad Quotes and Baby Photos

We currently have only a handful of baby photos and quotes for this year's yearbook. If there is not a significant change in the contributions by the end of next week, March 6, we may need to change the plan for the yearbook and NOT include quotes and baby photos. Please send your quotes to the yearbook email at qehsyearbook202526@gmail.com. Reach out to Ms. Gallant if you have any questions at nlgallant@cbe.ab.ca
