Dear QEHS Parents and Guardians,

The second annual Culture Week at QEHS was an inspiring celebration of what makes QEHS a special place to learn and grow.  This year’s theme, “hard work conquers all- our stories begin around the world”, incorporated our school moto and allowed all students to explore how our culture influences our success, and how our diversity makes us stronger.  Student led booths from a variety of countries representing our students were creative, interactive, informative, and engaging.  I am once again inspired by our students and grateful for how they take ownership of making our school caring, welcoming, safe and respectful for all.

There are many important updates to share this week.  Have a great weekend.  Enjoy the warm February weather!

With gratitude,

Jennifer Edmondson-Neily

Assurance Survey- Grades 7 and 10

As part of the ongoing commitment to providing a world-class education for Alberta’s children, Alberta Education is again conducting their annual survey of grade 4, 7 and 10 students and their parents or guardians. If your child is in grade 7 or 10, by now you have received information from the CBE district office with a link and access code to complete the survey.  Survey completion is voluntary and anonymous, as is completion of each question within the survey. The survey will gather important information about students’ and parents’ school experiences at QEHS and will help to inform improvement.  Students will be completing the survey in March, and we kindly ask that parents consider completing the survey.

Lost and Found

Semester one is now over, and there is an accumulation of lost and found items. The lost and found is located at the south end of the SGA next to the snack vending machine.  Smaller lost and found items (jewelry) are located in the main office.  Please have your child check for lost items before Wednesday, February 11.  Items remaining after that date will be donated to the Women in Need Society.
